Dealing with Naysayers on Your Team is a Must

A frequent question from mentoring clients:  How do I convince the naysayers to keep an open mind?

Dealing with Naysayers on Your Team: Key Points

  • Understand their objections.
  • Probe deep for the reasons behind their resistance.
  • Capture everybody’s concern, then follow with “How to” tackle each of the issues.
  • If a team member resists just for the sake for resisting new ideas, meet with them separately, explaining the need for constructive criticism.
