When we point these mistakes out to clients they’re surprised.  First, surprised they didn’t think of them themselves.  Second, how easily they can correct them.

But when you get the take of consumers, you learn what gets in the way of your message.  Of course, you should be sure your sample of viewers represents the market your targeting,  Also, that you’ve included sufficient numbers of people.

To learn how viewers “consume” video, we asked a woman considering a plastic surgery procedure to visit several websites, watching their videos.  They were pitches by the plastic surgeons.   While the woman wasn’t an expert in video marketing, she was an expert in what she liked and disliked.  Although this research related to plastic surgery, you should find the information valuable whether you’re a CPA or a plumber.
